  1. Ayeee breh, he's playing badly because of missing shots and rustyness with being used to the game(which will come in time).
Everything YOU SAID, about how he'll lose his athleticism and not be able to dunk and be explosive anymore was completely wrong.
He looks even FASTER than he was before, and since his return in the preseason he dunks all over the place and rapes fast breaks.

His issue is handling the ball/getting used to game speed from not playing 18 months, nothing to do with his knee.

  2. Me and you are going to just go back and forth we have different views. I wish the best for the guy, but I can't see MVP Derrick Rose coming back. When the time comes, we'll have to talk about this again.

  3. Because Rose is a perfectionist. He's perfectly capable of playing right now, Stacey King(Our local analyst/former Bull) gets to see scrimmages and practices that no one else gets to, and says his explosiveness is back. Doctors have cleared him to play, it's all up to him. He just still has the mental issue of wanting to be EXACTLY how he felt before injury, before he comes back, and that's the wrong way to think.

  4. Umm running up and trying to dunk on someone is irrelevant. I didn't know the Bulls won 60+ games and were the #1 seed two years in a row because of Rose's ability to dunk. True he does like to land on one foot, but all of this is stuff that can be easily adjusted to/around. You know Rose could drop 30 just from lay-ups right? He could lose his ability to dunk forever and still be an elite guard. And he won't lose that, because Shumpert still has his great dunking ability, so why wouldn't Rose?

  5. Umm, his defense is a function of his athleticism. You need your knee to work to move laterally well, stop player's drives, and contest jumpers. Much more than a player needs to dunk, which isn't even necessary.

  6. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW OLD BARON WAS! Rose was 23 when he tore his compared to Baron at 19! An ACL recovery doesn't have a cut off date of 18 years old you tool! LOL And no, Baron's body wasn't still growing.

  7. Last time I checked, Crawford doesn't run up and try to dunk on someone. Or he doesn't try to run up and do an athletic/difficult dunk. Part of the reason why Rose was hurt in the first place is he has a bad knack of trying to land on only one foot. This cannot be disputed. Most of the time when he falls down, it's when he takes it in. It's because instead of landing on two feet he lands on only one.

  8. Shumpert isn't 100% athleticism, GTFO. His abilities are more on the defensive end, sure he is athletic, but he is a much better defender than Rose. NBA history has shown that injuries rarely effect a player's defensive abilities.

  9. Google soccer players that have torn their ACLs. Soccer players ALL require non stop speed, athleticism, and stamina and recover from ACL tears all the time. Educate yourself so that in the future you don't look like a complete fool on the internet.

  10. Jamal Crawford tore his ACL in 2001. OMFG YOU CAN NEVER RECOVER FROM AN ACL INJURY. JAMAL LOST ALL HIS GODLIKE ATHLETIC HANDLES AND CROSS OVER ABILITY AND SPEED. HE WON'T EVER BE THE SAME PLAYER.

OH WAIT, I'M A FUCKING IDIOT THAT DOESN'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT INJURIES OR SPORTS HISTORY IN GENERAL.[/Illmatic662]

  11. You're the same type of idiot that said Chris Paul would be the same player when he tore his MCL, or Blake Griffin when he injured his knee cap and missed his ENTIRE rookie season(and he's someone that relies completely on athleticism) Guess he'd never be the same player too right?

Baron Davis, remember that guy? He tore his ACL in COLLEGE. But I guess he would never be the same player again right? He never had a star career with GS and New Orleans right, with no athleticism huh? Fucking idiot.

  12. I'm the same age as Derrick Rose. You're an idiot. Iman Shumpert is 100% athleticism, his defense is credit to that too, in case that didn't click in your head. Name a non athletic guard that can move laterally & guard athletic players? Exactly, that's why Westbrook is great on D and Nash is ass. That shows that you don't know shit about NBA players. AP is a RUNNING BACK. He needs arguably MORE ATHLETICISM than a point guard needs, every single game.

BUT HE WON'T BE THE SAME PLAYER[/moron]

  13. How old are you? Clearly you don't understand the game of basketball. Derrick Rose is the type of player 90% of his game is athleticism. He cannot run down the court and dunk on people the way he use to, he cannot quickly change directions anymore. And most important of all, he cannot dunk and land on one foot anymore. Iman Shumpert and Rubio don't rely on athleticism, they rely more on their defensive and passing abilities respectively.

  14. You're a fucking idiot who is hereby never allowed to talk about injuries again. Iman shumpert tore his ACL the same night Rose did. Ricky Rubio tore his ACL, and is looking like his old self already. Adrian Peterson. Baron Davis. Lots of Soccer players.

    Moron.

  15. You Bulls fans are so full shit. If you really think you all are still elite you are sorely mistaken.

Even your great Derrick Rose who will never be the same player again. You can NEVER recover fully from an ACL injury.

  16. my my how the tables have turned look at the raptors and bulls now. my god i cant believe we used to be in competition with these bums. Thumbs up if you hade to endure these years as a bulls fan

  17. this is a hard situation for the bulls, if they had stolen the ball they would have gotten accused for not having good sportsmanship and if they didn't people say they just don't play D.
